I used After Effects to animate my environment piece. I used puppet controls to make the flag move in the wind and made a leaf fall from the tree. I also used 3D and camera layers to give a feeling of depth to the image. I had a few problems with composition settings meaning I had to re-do a few things but in the end I think it turned out okay. I would have liked to have animated a few scenes but I only really had time to do this short one.
