Showreel

I was going to use After Effects to make my showreel but I decided to give Windows Movie Maker a try as I have easier access to it and I thought it would probably be easier to use as I'm not that good with After Effects yet. Movie Maker was really easy to use and I managed to put together a simple showreel fairly quickly. I added simple transitions between images and pan/zoom to make things more interesting. As with my website I didn't want to make it too flashy just something simple.

I chose a variety of concept art along with some traditional illustration to show that I have a variety of skills.

It ended up being 1.44 which I think is maybe a little long but hopefully not too long that you wouldn't want to sit through it. I also added some music as I felt it was really dull without it. The music I used was Summit by Skrillex. Although I'm not sure if you are allowed to use copyrighted music on a showreel of your work, but I couldn't find out so I left it in there for now, it would be really simple to remove it if I find out that it's not okay.
