Monster Design Development

 These are the silhouettes I came up with for the monsters that inhabit the dream world that Harvey visits. I took inspiration from Japanese Folklore and based many of the elements upon animals. I liked the idea of them having tails and I thought that this would make them obviously not human to the reader. I want the visual language to be very clear so by making the monsters more animalistic I can be sure that it will be obvious that these creatures aren't human.

I chose these three from the silhouettes because I would like there to be more than just one type of monster and because I felt that these three had enough similarities visually to go together, but enough differences to tell them apart easily. They are all based on different animals; a fox, monkey and goat, but they all have similar build and features to tie them together. I also used the blue accents in the colour scheme to keep them in the same theme.
