After Effects

I chose to work in after effects because I knew that it would be appropriate for the type of animation I wanted to do. My other choice would have been to use Flash or Photoshop to animate frame by frame but I chose to produce the images in photoshop first and then add animation because I wanted my animation to look like a moving picture book. The look of the animation I've produced in After Effects looks a lot more like a children's picture book that has come to life and this is exactly what I wanted to achieve.

The following screenshots show some of the processes I used in After Effects

I mostly used cameras to zoom in/out and move around the scene to give the feeling of movement.

Some scenes I used layer masks to gradually reveal parts of the scene.

I then imported the music I had made and arranged all the scenes I had made into one composition. Then I finally added some fade in and out of each scene to make it flow together a lot better.

I didn't really encounter too many problems using After Effects as I have used it before in previous projects. I had a couple of technical difficulties when sometimes I would have accidentally moved or changed some of the files on my computer and this would affect the animation so I had to fix this problem a couple of times. Afterwards I was a lot more careful with keeping my files in the right place.
