Here's the second animation I will be using in my narrative, it's just a really simple piece to show Lily appearing to Hugo for the first time to ask him for his help. Again I just used simple animation tools in After Effects such as masking to make Lily appear gradually and I think it turned out effectively. A little bit of simple animation really helps bring the story to life. I also don't think I could have got such a good effect of her appearing from nowhere without animation so it's really helped the story visually.
