Final concept image.
I really wanted a strong source of light to create a very dynamic image. As the game is set in a haunted mansion and I want the game to have a creepy feeling to it I thought it would be good to create an image with a lot of shadows where the protagonist is shown with only a small source of light.
I wanted to have a L type composition which showed both the protagonist and one of the evil ghosts so that we as the viewer can see the ghost but the protagonist can't as it is around the corner. This adds suspense to the image. I also wanted to show the personality of the protagonist by having her look a little bit scared or apprehensive.
I am happy with the end result and I think it achieves the feeling that I was hoping for.
