Page 10 - I still have to add what's in the speech bubbles but here is the first conversation between the boy and the monster. The boy asks the monster if he's hungry and he says yes. I wanted to keep the page very simple and focused on the two characters. That's why I chose to just have two close up views. And because they are conversing I thought it was important to focus on their faces and expressions. Although I have found it tricky to convey emotions on characters that have no eyebrows, but I really wanted the style to stay the way I'd imagined it to begin with so I've learnt to work around it. Mostly by changing the shape or tilt of the eyes.
