I want to tie in my research report closely with my studio work so I have chosen to look into the subject of narrative directed at children and how it is portrayed. I want to look at how narrative aimed at children is delivered in different ways and how that has changed over the years. I also want to think about where I think it may go in the future. With the advances in technology we have seen in the last decade we have seen an increase in people using digital media over traditional books, does this mean the same thing will happen with children's literature? Will bedtime stories be replaced with bedtime video games?
These are some of the areas I want to start initial research in and see where it takes me so that I can then maybe focus on one specific area and focus on creating and answering an interesting and valid question.
