In order to get more of an idea of the direction I would like the visual style to go in I decided to put Hugo into an environment so that I could look at the style as a whole rather then concentrating on elements such as just environment design and character design separately. I'm happy with the design of the environment but there are still issues I'm having with the consistency of the appearance of the main character and I'm not happy with the colouring style. I feel like I want something more textured and individual. I want the feeling of a picture book to be conveyed whilst displaying a style which is original.
